Google’s business listing is free to claim for your business and with these methods outlined here you can get your listing high up on the page so you can get more traffic.

Here's the steps you need to take to get in front of more clients who will be calling your phone for your products or service


(Number 1)

Fill out everything on your about us page no matter what.. Google loves text data as this is what drives Google. Google loves to index new data so filling in everything on this listing is very important. That means uploading images of your businesses logo, staff (if you have them) Van’s, completed jobs a map of how to get to you, anything just to fill up the listing.


(Number 2)

Fill out the bio part (about your company) make it at least 100 words plus, all this information can get listed in the search engines in front of your customers. Remember to use your industries keywords within this part but don’t over use them.


(Number 3)

Add a cover photo and link your businesses website with your Google business listing page.


(Number 4)

Add links to other web properties that you own. This could be your Facebook page, Twitter page, your Youtube channel or any other blogs your business owns.

Add posts on your page, this could be posts that you have found on other peoples pages (shared content), content that you have created on other sites, Youtube video’s about your industry. if you go to Google alerts you can set up an alert so you get fresh industry related content straight to your inbox that you can use.

You can also setup IFTTT which is a really useful free service where you can share all of your content that you post on your favourite social media platform. You post once and it gets shared across the rest of your social media channels.

Google business reviews for your business are a great way to get more traffic to your website plus, this will give your brand a massive boost in credibility. Make sure that you ask any of your customers that have had a great experience with you to leave a review on your Google business page. These are the prefect people to write a review for your business page. Try to get their email address off them and then email them a direct link to the review page as if you just ask them 9 times out of 10 they will forget to do it or won't be able to find where to write the review.

This is super powerful and will get you a huge amount of new clients because of two things. Credibility and your Google business listing will be pushed up the page which will get more exposure.  


BIG NOTE TO REMEMBER:
Everyone who “circles you” on your businesses Google plus page (that’s like someone liking or friending you on Facebook) these people will get served your posts in the search engine results pages (SERPS)

Also your business listing information or other Google data which is linked to your listing can appear on the first page of the Google search results just because someone is in your circles. So when someone Google’s plumbers and they are in your circles your information can appear on the first page on Google. Powerful stuff.
